QUETTA: After doctors and health workers have agreed to end their protest, a three-day anti-polio campaign in all districts of Balochistan will be launched on Wednesday.

Earlier the government had to postpone the campaign because of the protest of doctors and health workers over non-payment of dues and security concerns.

The decision was taken after a successful meetingbetween representatives of the protesting health workers and Secretary Health Noorul Haq Baloch.

Coordinator of the Emergency Operation Centre Balochistan Dr Syed Saifur Rehman said that the government took serious notice of the postponement of polio campaign at the end of low transmission season as a three-day SubNational Immunisation was under way in Jaffarabad, Qila Abdullah, Hub Tehsil of Lasbela district, Nasirabad, Pishin, Sherani and Zhob districts.
