`Plots against seminaries doomed to fail`

By A Correspondent 2015-05-20
BADIN: Senate Deputy Chairman Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl has said that all conspiracies against seminaries were doomed to fail.

Speaking to journalists and addressing the `Islam Zindabad Conference` organised by his party in in Tando Bago town late on Monday evening, the senator said that five to six million children mostly belonging to the poor and downtrodden families were being given education along with food and necessary facilities, at seminaries as the government alone could not afford the huge burden.

He said seminaries were playing a big role in providing education to millions of children who were out of schools for some reason. He said no seminary was promoting terrorism as was being claimed by secular and anti-Islam forces bent upon undermining the country.

In reply to a question, Senator Haidery said that hostile spy agencies like Black Water and RAW were very much active in Pakistan, especially Balochistan and Sindh, to destabilise the country. Describing the recent massacre of Ismaili community members in Karachi as the worst type of terrorism, he said the inhuman act had sent a wave of shock and grief across the country and terrorised minorities.
