VEH ARI: A man allegedly strangled his pregnant wife to death for honour on Thursday at Mauza Qadirwah in the jurisdiction of Luddan police, 25 kilometres from here.

Amin suspected that his wife, Nusrat Bibi, 28, a mother of four, had an affair with a youth of the same area.

On Thursday, they exchanged words and Amin along with his brothers Naik and Riaz first beat her and later strangledherto death.

Luddan Station House Officer Rahmat Ali said they had registered a case against Amin and his brothers without any arrest on the application of Ameer Ahmed, the father of Nusrat Bibi. The body was handed over to the family after autopsy. Ameer has appealed to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for justice.
