LAHORE: US Consul General Yuriy Fedkiw on Friday welcomed another batch of 180 students to the US State Departmentfunded English Access M i c r o s c h o1a r s h i p Programme.
`In the two-year access programme, you will have the opportunity to participate in many language enhancing activities ranging from projects to public-spealcing workshops, said Mr Fedkiw while addressing the students.
The English Access M i c r o s c h o1 a r s h i p Programme (Access) pro-vides a foundation of English language skills to students between the ages of13-20 throughfree afterschool classes and intensive learning activities.
The US consul general encouraged the students to take full advantage of their opportunities, continue to pursue their English studies even after the program ends, and to inspire others to give back to their communities. The Consulate General in Lahore launched the programme in partnership with the Lahore Institute of Future Education (LIFE).
