Fire deprives two families of valuables

LAHORE: Valuables worth millions were reduced to ashes in two fire incidents in the city on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, a fire erupted in the house of Shahzad near Saggian Bridge, burning down valuables worth Rs1 million.

Rescue fire extinguishers reached the spot, safely recovered the trapped family members and controlled the fire.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a house near Expo Centre, reducing valuables worth millions to ashes. Occupants of the house tried to control the fire but after failing to do so, they sent for rescue teams.

Fire-fighters controlled the flames after an effort of an hour or so.

No loss of life or injury was reported in both incidents.
