IN the article, `May and might` (June 15), the reference by King Ibn Saud was to William Shakespear (the British military advisor to King Ibn Saud, 1910-1915), not to playwright William Shakespeare.
The amended sentences should therefore read: `King Ibn Saud`s reference was not to the Bard of Avon but to the British official William Shakespear. But his son King Salman, before boycotting Qatar, might have thumbed through the old man`s copy of Shakespeare`s Coriolanus, annotated by Samuel Johnson.
