TAXILA: The district administration of Attock on Sunday asked heads of charity organisations to submit applications to get a no-objection certificate (NoC) for collectionof hidesonEidulAzha.

No such activity will be allowed without prior written permission. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zulqurnian directed the charity organisations and NGOs to submit written applications to his office for seeking permission to collect hides till June 30. He said after the deadline, no application would be entertained.

All applicants should attach a copy of previous year`s NOC issued by the district administration along with the record of fund utilisation, generated after the sale of the collected hides, he added. The DC said the district administration would ensure that the organisations concerned engaged in collection hides of sacrificial animals fully implemented the code of conduct.

He said that door to door collection of skins was prohibited and would not be allowed according to the code of conduct. He said the Home Department had banned collection of hides of sacrificial animals without the approval of the competent authority.

Action will be taken against any organisation or person found collecting hides of sacrificial animals without prior approval, he added. Correspondent
