SAHIWAL: A transgender was allegedly raped by three armed youth in the Gamber area on Wednesday night.

The Noor Shah police registered a case on the complaint of the victim and her guru under section 375A of the PPC againstthe three accused.According to the complainant, she was a professional dancer and the suspects booked her for a nikah (wedding) function and paid advance. She claimed that when she reached the house in the Nasir Town area of Gamber as per the schedule of the supposed wedding, she was surprised to find out that there was no wedding happening there.She said the armed suspects locked her in a room and abused her one by one.

The victim was seriously injured because of the assault and became unconscious as a result.

The suspects later left her at an abandoned area, she said in the complaint.

Police was conducting raids at different locations to arrest the culprits.
