QUETTA: The government of Balochistan on Friday directed all departments to finalise PC-1 of their development projects in order to start implementation of the Public Sector Development Programme.

The decision was taken at a meeting held to review depanmental progress on projects announced in the budget 2019-20.

Minister for Food and Population, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetiran, principal secretary to the chief minister Noorul Ameen Mengal, secretary irrigation Akbar Baloch, secretary communication Mohammad Hashim Ghalzai and secretary local government Saleh Nasir attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed development schemes presented by the Provincial Development Working Party and the Departmental Accounts Committee in order to avoid delays in the projects.

The meeting announced the commencement of Roshan Balochistan, Green Tractors Scheme, Green Bus Service, and the construction of primary and middle schools in the province.

It also directed the planning and development department to not tolerate any negligence or delay in the development schemes.
