KARACHI: The body of a 12-year-old boy, who went missing on Sunday, was found in a drain on Mai Kolachi Road on Monday evening.

West SSP Fida Husain Janwari said that the boy had gone missing and his family had lodged a report with the Boat Basin police station.

Clifton SHO Naseer Tanoli said that the deceased was a shepherd, who had taken his herd as per routine but did not return home.

She said that visceral samples had been collected for chemical analysis to ascertain the cause of death.

The body was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to fulfill medico-legal formalities.

Karachi police chief Javed Odho took notice of the matter and directed the South DIG to submit a detailed report about the incident.
