KARACHl: Two young Afghan men, who were allegedly involved in stealing car panels, were shot dead in North Nazimabad on Tuesday, police said.
The Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan police said that Ihsanullah and Nasrullah, aged around 20-25 years, were targeted by unidentified assailants near the Shipowners` Government College.
The bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed said that the victims suffered one bullet wound each as they were shot in the head and back.
The police said that they were Afghan nationals and lived in Ittehad Town.
They said that investigators obtained CCTV footage from different areas of North Nazimabad in which they, along with another unidentified man, were seen stealing the panel of a car and then fleeing when the owner saw them and raised alarm.
The police said that efforts were underway to trace their third accomplice.
