GUJRANWALA: The family of the nurse, who was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her office, blocked the GT Road on Friday evening and protested against the police for early arrest of the killers.

The protesters claimed that police were trying to declare the incident a suicide as the forensic report is yet to be submit te d. Head nurse `H` at a private hospital located on Muneer Chowk was found hanging from the ceiling fan on Friday morning. Civil Lines police have registered a case.

On Friday evening, the family of the nurse blocked GT Road outside Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park, set tyres on fire and chanted anti-police slogans. The protesters alleged that the owners of the hospital were trying to hush up the matter by declaringtheincident a suicide.

The protesters blocked the road for five hours, causing a great deal of inconvenience to commuters. Later, the police high-ups managed dispersal of crowd by assuring them of an inquiry into the matter. Correspondent
