QUETTA: Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri, a leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and chief minister-desIgnate, has vowed to make Balochistan a `fort` of PML-N.
He was talking to reporters at his residence soon after returning to Quetta from Islamabad on Saturday evening.
Thousands of PML-N workers and supporters welcomed Mr Zehri at the Quetta airport when he arrived from Islamabad aboard the chief minister`s plane.
He was brought to his residence in a large motorcade decorated with party flags and banners.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has nominated Mr Zehri for the top post of the province in accordance with the Murree accord reached between the three coalition partners NationalParty, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and PML-N after the 2013 elections.
Under the accord Dr Abdul Malik Baloch of National Party held the office of chief minister for two and a half years and during the remaining period Mr Zehri would be the chief executive of the province.
Mr Zehri said he had promised to party leaders and workers that he would mal Mr Zehri said the prime minister had reposed confidence in him by nominating him for the office of the chief minister. `I am very thankful to my leader for my nomination for the top slot of the province,` he said, adding that he would make all out efforts to come to the expectations of the prime minister.
