PLRA counter in LDA to help expedite issuance of NOCs

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday established a One Window Cell (counter) of the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) for issuance of NOCs to the plot owners and address public complaints.

Ms Khan said the LDA had been able to get online access to the PLRA database. This service would go a long way in facilitating the people who had to face many hardships and wait for very long for getting their land record documents verified by the revenue of ficials, she said.
She said the LDA would have online access to the land record of the plots situated in its housing schemes and itwould verify land ownership, fard, mutation, registry and other documents in minimum possible time.
About the PLRA, Mr Rao said the organisation had already signed an agreement with the L ahore Metropolitan Corporation for online verificadon of the land record of properties situated in its jurisdiction. He said 154 land record centres were already functioning in Punjab while efforts were being made for setung up another 102 centres at dif ferent locations.
Meanwhile, the LDA Town Planning Wing sealed 164 shops at the furniture market, Band Road, in a joint operation with Samanabad Zone administration on the directions of the L ahore High Court. The shops were illegally constructed without getting the building plan approved by the relevant authority.-Staff Reporter
