KARACHI: Lawyers on Thursday boycotted legal proceedings at the subordinate courts to condemn the action against their colleagues in Lahore following the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) incident.

The Pakistan Bar Council had given a call for countrywide protest to denounce the arrest of several lawyers on the charges of rampage and violence at the PIC allegedly during their protest against the doctors at the health facility last week.

The lawyers did not turn up to plead their cases fixed for the day at the City Courts, the Malir District Courts as well as the special courts and tribunals.-Staff Reporter
