LAHORE: The Punjab government has abolished the office of the solicitor to the government an attached department of the law and parliamentary affairs department.
The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting on July 9 this year. An order issued by the law and parliamentary affairs department says all properties, duties, assignments, responsibilities, obligations and interests of whatever kind used, enjoyed, performed, possessed, owned, assigned or vested in the office of the solicitor to the Punjab government and all liabilities legally subsisting against it stand transferred to the directorate of monitoring and evaluation.-Staff Reporter
