KARACHI: A Chinese engineer was wounded in what police described as `incidental firing` in the DefenceareaonWednesday.

Defence SHO Yasin Gujjar said the engineer, Yung Chang, received a single bullet in his abdomen as the pistol he was `playing` with inside his vehicle went off.

His guard, Atif, had gone to the office in DHA phaseH at the time of the incident, the police officer said.

He was rushed to a private hospital, where he was admitted, the SHO said, describing Mr Yung`s condition as critical.
