KARACHI: Two suspected robbers were killed in an alleged encounter in Surjani Town on Friday, police said.

They added that the encounter took place at Rozi Goth where after an exchange of firing, two unknown robbers had been gunned down.

According to SSP-West Faisal Bashir Memon, the suspects were entering a house ostensibly to commit a robbery when the police reached the spot and the outlaws opened fire on them.

In an ensuing exchange of firing, both gunmen got killed on the spot. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfill legal formalities.

The police claimed to have recovered two pistols with a loaded magazine and one motorbike from their possession.

Their identity has not been ascertained immediately.-Staff Reporter
