Two minor boys raped

B A H AW A L P U R : Dunyapur Saddar police on Monday claimed to have arrested two men for allegedly raping as many minors in separate incidents.

According to a police spokesperson, in the first incident, a suspect allegedly raped an eight-yearold boy at Chak No 303/ WB, Pir Khanday Shah village.

According to the complainant, Muhammad Sardar, father of the victim, his son was lured by the suspect when he was returning from school and was taken to a deserted house, where he was raped. The suspect managed to flee, but was later arrested by police, the spokesperson said.

An FIR (No 61/25) was registered against the suspect under sections 376(111) and 377-B on the complaint.

In the second incident,police claimed to have arrested a suspect, who allegedly raped a nineyear-old boy.

The police registered a case on the complaint of Muhammad Siddique, father of the victim.

ACCIDENTS: Three men were killed in different incidents in the Lodhran and Hasilpur on Monday.

According to Lodhran police and Rescue 1122 officials, one Waqar (20), an employee at a petrol pump at Chamb More at 97-M village near Lodhran city, was killed allegedly when his gun went off accidentally, while he was cleaning the weapon.

A police team reached the scene and shifted the body to the Lodhran DHQ hospital. However, the police have taken into custody some employees of the petrol pump.

In the second incident, Hammad (20) died afterhe was run over by a speeding trailer at main Kahrorepucca Chowk on Khanewal Road in Lodhran.

The police took the trailer`s driver into custody, while the body was shifted to the DHQ hospital, Lodhran.

Ahmed Hassan (40), was driving a maize-laden tractor-trolley, when it overturned due to overloading near Chak 10-Forwah on Chishtian Road at Hasilpur, about 90kms from here.

His death was declared accidental by police and his body was handed over to his family.

ARRESTED: Khairpur Tamewali police in Bahawalpur district claimed to have arrested a man and a woman, recovering a huge quantity of `ice` drug from them.

The suspects were identified as Shamsullah of Pishin and Nadia, a resi-dent of Quetta.

HIGHWAY POSTS: The Punjab government will build patrolling police posts on those highways that were still without such checkpoints.

This was announced by Punjab Transport Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch while presiding over a meeting at Vehari onMonday.

Earlier, briefing the meeting, Vehari Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ms Imrana Taugeer briefed the secretary about the need for building highway police posts to control crimes and ensure excel load management.

According to a handout, the secretary ordered submission of data regarding the highways where there were no police posts.

He also ordered strict implementation of axle load management rules on the highways. Correspondent
