Action sought against illegal Afghans

PESHAWAR: Tribesmen belonging to South Waziristan Agency have blamed the officials of political administration for |facilitating illegal Afghan nationals to get fake documents and demanded action against them.

Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, chief of Ahmedzai Wazir of Wana, South Waziristan, Malik Mohammad Jamil Wazir said that Afghan nationals had made lives of the local people miserable as they were involved in crimes and other illegal activities, but the administration was not taking action against them.

The Afghan nationals, he alleged, were paying from Rs35,000 to Rs70,000 for obtaining a single computerised national identity card and as result the foreigners were taking benefits like admissions to educational institutions meant for tribal people. He said that one Khayal Mohammad of Paktia province of Afghanistan had got admission on fake domicile certificate to Bannu Medical College on a seat reserved for local students. — Bureau Report
