KARACHI: A committee headed by two district and sessions judges was informed on Friday by officials that over 195 illegalhydrants had been dismantled during an operation launched on the directive of the apex court against water mafia operating in different areas of the city.

The Karachi Water andSewerage Board and police officials in a report submitted that there were around 30 subsoil water connections linked to the KWSB supply lines and nine had so far been disconnected.
