`Pakistan image presented to world grossly unfair`

LAHORE: The outgoing German ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler said the image of Pakistan being presented to the world was grossly unfair.
He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Institute of Journalism at a local hotel on Wednesday.
Mr Kobler said media should play role in improving the image of the country and he also had tried to improve Pakistan`s image.
`Your task as a journalist should be to promote positive things and image of the Pakistan in the world,` he said.He said government should ensure freedom of expression and press and independent media was important for every country and journalists should stand up for what they believed for their country.
He said Pakistan had a bulk of young generation and they were searching for jobs and government and politicians should take measures to give them jobs.
`I was reading that Pakistan would have 400 million population in 2050 and it would also have 65 percent of youth and steps should be taken to create opportunities for them,` he said.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar who was chief guest also spoke.
