KARACHI: Famous actor Mahira Khan was given the cultural ambassador award by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Monday.
The council organised An Evening with Mahira Khan, which was hosted by famous writer and intellectual Anwar Maqsood.
Mahira Khan and host Anwar Maqsood had a heart-to-heart conversa-tion on Sunday. The evening was full of witty exchanges on politics, The Legend of Maula Jatt and the importance of financial independence for women in Pakistan.
She said that if girls were not financially independent, then they can`t do much.
She said that it was great to work in India as it was her dream to work with actor Shah Rukh Khan.
