GUJRAT: The bail before arrest of former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has been extended in two cases for seven days by two courts in Gujranwala and Gujrat on Monday.
Mr Hussain first appeared before the Gujranwala AntiTerrorism Court after completion of his initially accepted bail until March 20 in twodifferent cases lodged against him and his son Musa Elahi in January last in connection with the Kotla civil hospital clash.
The ATC extended his bail until March 27.
Later on, he arrived in Gujrat and appeared in the court of additional district and sessions judge Younis Laar after completion of his earlier bail.
The judge again extended the bail until March 27 in another case lodged against himat the Karianwala police station of Gujrat on the charges of life attempt and firing at the house of former chairman of Hajiwala union council Muhammad Ali Gujjar who is also a Gujrat PML-N district vice president.
Earlier, two cases had been lodged with the Ghalib Market police of Lahore and Kakrali police station in Gujrat in connection with a clash between the supporters of his son Musa Elahi and Kotla group atthe occasion of a ceremony to rename the Kotla civil hospital as Zahoor Elahi Shaheed tehsilheadquarters hospital in January last.
Moreover the two personal secretaries of Wajahat and his son Musa including Hameedullah Bhatti and Kamran Butt respectively have returned to their houses almost a month after they went missing on their way back to Gujrat from a Kharian court.
