Invigilators needed

2016-04-21
EXAMINATIONS for high school (Classes IX and X) were recently held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, no precautionary measures, including appointing honest invigilators at examination centres, were taken by the government to ensure that no cheating took place. It is a pity that no action is being taken against corrupt teachers and cheating students in examination halls. We don`t need an education in which students learn nothing and only depend on rote learning.

We need honest and hard-working students to face the challenges of the future and who will prove to be a boon for Pakistan. We also need efficient and honest teachers.

The slogan of the Khyber Palchtunkhwa government before elections was: `Education and Health`. But nothing has been done in either sector by the authorities concerned. This is the reason that most students in Pakistan can`t even fill their own admission forms for carrying on higher education.

I hope the authorities concerned would control cheating by appointing honest invigilators.
