KARACHI: The commercial officer of the United States consulate, Stephen P. Knode, and head of the political and economic section Edward JB Burkhalter called on Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar at his office on Thursday.

Besides discussing matters of mutual interest, the mayor briefed the diplomats on various development works being carried out in the city to provide better municipal facilities to the citizens. He said effective monitoring was also done during the execution of development works to ensure that quality was not compromised.

The diplomats lauded efforts being made by the mayor to improve civic amenities in the city.-Staff Reporter
