AS US Vice President J.D. Vance prepares for his official visit to India, a Sikh group known of championing the Khalistan movement has raised serious concerns over the Modi regime.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and a prominent Khalistan advocate, has penned a letter to Vance urging him to address the alleged Indian plot to assassinate him.

In the letter, Pannun accused a close aide of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of paying $250,000 to orchestrate his killing and urged theUS vice president to confront Indian authorities on the matter.

`The Modi government is involved in a conspiracy to kill a US citizen. This is notjust a personalthreat, it`s a threat to American sovereignty and justice, Pannun stated in a letter, which was also posted to SFJ`s official X account.

He demanded that any trial regarding the attempted murder of an American citizen should take place under US laws in American courts.

The allegations come amid increasing global scrutiny over India`s role in attacks on Sikh activists abroad, following similar claims made in the US and Canada over the past year.
