SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah said on Saturday that army men who had put in a lot of efforts to seize Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav had greatly been disappointed because the government`s failure to present its case forcefully and effectively had allowed the International Court of Justice to give an adverse ruling in the case.
Talking to media personnel after inaugurating near Rohri a solar system for pumping water to the Umar Kas Wah from the Nara Canal, which has been installed by the provincial irrigation department at acost of Rs200 million, Mr Shah said the federal government had ignored the importance of the foreign ministry in the Jadhav case, which was why the court gave an adverse judgement.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had personally visited the United Nations offices in New York but could not take the case of the Indian spy there.
The senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader said Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan described whatever happened in Islamabad as correct but if the same happened in Sindh the interior minister described it as wrong.
The minister had even forgotten the killings in Model Town, Lahore, he said.
