ABBOTTABAD: National Assembly Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi on Saturday inaugurated around Rs2 billion worth of two gas schemes for Sherwan and Mujahait areas here.
During the inaugural ceremony, the NA deputy speal(er said natural gas would be supplied initially to 38 villages and then to the rest of Sherwan areas.
He said the PML-N government in the centre didn`t make false promises and instead, it was taking tangible steps to meet the demands of the people neglected earlier. Mr Abbasi said the PML-N government had given the gift of motorway to the people of Hazara division, which would change their destiny.
He said the project would play a decisive role in the development of tourism in the region, which was a major source of income for local residents.
The NA deputy speaker said mobile towers were being installed in all far-flung areas of Hazara to end communication problem through better mobile phone and Internet coverage.
He added that Hazara would be the main beneficiary of the multibillion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, which promised tremendous socioeconomic development of the division. Correspondent
