NEW DELHI: `Pakistan is in sight and Baluchistan will be a part of it,` said Mr. M.A.
Jinnah in a message to Muslims of Baluchistan through Haji Surat Khan, President of the Loralai, Baluchistan District-Muslim League, who [he] met this morning [May 20].
Mr. Jinnah said that this was not the time to raise petty and domestic questions when Muslims were engaged in life and death struggle. Mr. Jinnah added, `Muslims of Baluchistan should remain solidly united under the Muslim League and when Pakistan is established and we have our own Government, we will take up all matters and every question will be settled justly and fairly, but till then unity and discipline should be our motto.
[Meanwhile,] Information has been received in New Delhi that a number of political prisoners in the Peshawar Central Jail have been injured as a result of police and military atrocities. The Government of the N.W.F.P. has asl(ed allpoliticalprisonersin the Jailtoleave thejail and on their refusal to do so, Gurkha troops and Frontier Police were used to force them to quit the jail by subjecting them to lathi charges, bayonet charges and even firing.
