LAHORE: Police claimed to have killed two dangerous dacoits and injured five others on Tuesday in an ongoing operation against the notorious criminals of the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh district.

A spokesperson for the Punjab police says they achieved a major success by eliminating dacoit gangs from the Katcha area of Alipur.

He claims that the Muzaffargarh district police destroyed the last stronghold of dacoits, killing two hardened criminals, besides injuring five others.

The operation was directly supervised by Muzaffargarh District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Rizwan, while Rajanpur DPO also joined it, he adds. He says the police also torched and destroyed the hideouts of the dacoits, and launch a search operation in the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh.

He says that Alipur Circle DSP Bakht Nasar Khan, and the area SHO, leading the police and Elite Force teams confronted the dacoits. After a successful operation, he says, the police pickets have been established in the Katcha area of Muzaffargarh. Staff Reporter
