KARACHI: The administration of the Northern Bypass Cattle Market has said that the process of collecting tax on sacrificial animals is being carried out by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).

In a press statement issued by the media cell of the cattle market, it was stated that the administration has no connection with this tax collection. Tax collection is the responsibility of the KMC and is being conducted outside the market premises.

The cattle market administration stated that they are only responsible for managing facilities related to buying and selling, maintaining discipline and ensuring the care of animals. The administration has urged citizens not to pay attention to rumors circulating on social media.

Meanwhile, the KMC has explained that the purpose of this taxis to provide cleanliness and other essential services in the city during Eidul Azha.

KMC facilitates the removal of offal and carries out disinfectant spraying after the completion of sacrificial rituals.-PPI
