MANSEHRA: The traders in Oghi tehsil have urged authorities to repair the road and remove heaps of mud left behind after gas pipeline excavation, saying the action will ease traffic flow and benefit businesses.

`The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) duguproadsinthecityand its surrounding areas to lay gas transmission lines but failed to remove the excavated soil, leading to traffic blockades that are badly affecting our businesses, said vice president of the traders` body in Oghi Abdul Razzaq told reporters.

Accompanied by a group of traders, Mr Razzaq said the mounds of soil along the roads had severely disrupted vehicular and pedestrian movement.

`We repeatedly raised the issue with SNGPL officials but no action was taken,` he said.
