ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain phoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday to inquire after his health.

Giving some details of the telephonic conversation, the president`s spokesperson said: `President Mamnoon advised the prime minister to take a decision about his travel plans as per the advice of his doctors.

Mr Sharif, who underwent heart surgery at a London hospital recently, is under considerable pressure to return home as soon as possible.

A couple of days ago Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that the prime minister would return to the country before Eidul Fitr. However, there has been no official confirmation about the premier`s travel plans.-Staff Reporter
