LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party has finalised names for top offices of Larkana Municipal Corporation (LMC) and its district council, municipal committees of Naudero and Ratodero and three town committees of Badah, Gaierlo and Arija where it is poised to pocket easy wins as and when elections are held.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed elections for mayor, deputy mayor, chairmen and vice chairmen due to retirement of four of its members, giving ample time to PPP to complete its homework before the final day.

Party sources disclosed to Dawn on Monday that Allah Dino Bhutto, former general secretary of PPP Naudero and an old worker Sikandar Katpar were nominated as chairman and vice chairman for Naudero municipal commit tee.

Ghulam Mustafa Ghanghro, former president of PPP Ratodero, was nominated as chairman of Ratodero municipal committee while the partywas still undecided on the name for the slot of vice chairman.

Out of the four town committees of Dokri, Badah, Gaierlo and Arija, the PPP had faced the worst defeat in Dokri and lost the town to Unnars of Pakistan Muslim LeagueQuaid.

Despite being politically divided Unnars who were still popular in their area have finalised the name of Liaquat Soomro as chairman, said the sources.

In Badah town committee, PPP`s old worker Mohammad Khan Channa was nominated as chairman and Fida Hussain Phulpoto as vice chairman.
