MUZA F FA RGA R H: Special Magistrate Kashif Zaidi on Tuesday released MNA Jamshed Dasti on ball against surety bonds of Rs50,000 in two cases of irrigation and illegal weapons.

However, he was taken back to Dera Ghazi Khan jail.

In 2016, Dasti had also been booked (case 68/16)for allegedly getting extortion from oil tankers and police had added 7ATA [in the case]. The hearing of the case will be held in DG Khan.

On June 8, Sarwar Shaheed Chowk police had arrested Dasti and registered a case against him for possessing illegal weapons.

On May 29, Chowk Qureshi police had bool(ed Dasti for opening sluices of Dinga minor and arrested him when he was coming back from Islamabad. He was sent to Multan central jail and later shifted to Dera Ghazi Khan prison.

On Tuesday, Dasti`s mother and sisters also met him.

Dasti was looking composed while his companion Jam Yunis alleged that police inflicted torture on him.
