Six hospitalised after drinking toxic lassi

NAROWAL: Six people, including five women, of a family were hospitalised after consuming toxic lassi in Gul Kalan village on Sialkot Road in Narowal, Rescue 1122 said on Friday.
Rescue teams arrived at the house after being informed of the family`s condition and found Muhammad Abu Bakar, Nadia Asim, Hania Asim, Maqbool Bibi, Sameera Bibi and Yasmin Bibi lying unconscious.
A Rescue 1122 official said the victims complained of severe stomach pain and vomiting before losing consciousness. They were shifted to the Narowal District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors said two of the patients were in a critical condition.

Five-year-old Abdul Rahman was electrocuted In Dhul Bulgen village, Sambrial, when he accidentally touched the shutter of a nearby shop that had electric current running through it. Despite being given first aid, he couldnotbe saved.
In another incident, Babar Ali`s family was enjoying a picnic at Head Marala when his fouryear-old daughter Harim Fatima fell into the canalfrom aboat. Rescue 1122 diversrecovered her body after a three-hour search operation.
