DADU: Two persons died on the spot in a violent clash erupted between two groups of the Burfat community in the Karchat area of Thana Bola Khan.

The dead were identified as Nawaz Burfat, 25, and Ganwer Burfat, 30.

The incident, which is reported to have stemmed from a domestic dispute, spread panic in the locality.

According to police sources, members of both groups opened indiscriminate fire on each other in the village of Darya Khan Burfat.

A large contingent of police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to the Taluka Hospital in Thana Bola Khan. They sealed off the area and initiated measures to restore peace. But no arrests were made till filing of this report.

Both victims reportedly belonged to the opposing groups within the same family. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
