LARKANA: The rainwater accumulated in certain areas of DK, DS and HR areas of Mohenjo Daro but the affected areas were immediately cleared, officials said.

According to them the amount of rain at the site was recorded at 86mm. The downpour created fissures at the platform of the stupa and erosions were also witnessed at dif ferent locations.

Ihsan Abbasi, the curator at the site, said that fissures and erosions were filled immediately.

The stagnant rainwater was driven out from HR, SD and DK areas, he said, and claimed that the rain caused no damage to the structures.

He pointed out that all precautionary measures had already been taken to protect the site.-Correspondent
