ON reading the Reuters dispatch in your columns (Aug 17) regarding Queen Elizabeth, I recalled Jim Corbett`s famous comment about her, when she was informed about the death of her father, King George VI.
The then Princess Elizabeth was visiting Africa`s well-known Tree Tops. Corbett noted as follows: `For the first time in the history of the world, a young girl climbed into a tree one day a Princess and ...climbed down the tree next day a Queen.
