BAHAWA LPUR: A convict was hanged at the New Central Jail while another was pardoned by deceased`s family members on Tuesday.

According to jail officials, Mustafa of McLeod Ganj, Bahawalnagar, who was executed, had shot dead his wife and six members of her on April 6, 2005, following dispute with his wife.

Convict Shahid of Chishtian had committed double murder over enmity in 2004. However, after a compromise with the family of deceased, Shahid`s death warrants were cancelled. Correspondent
