Another suspect held in MPA`s murder case

GUJRANWALA: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) claimed on Tuesday to have arrested a suspect in the murder case of PML-N MPA Rana Shamshad Ahmad Khan, his son and a friend.

City Police Officer Waqas Nazir said a team, led by DSP Imran Abass Chadhar, raided a hideout in Sahiwal and arrested Wahid alias Kala Gujjar. The suspect had confessed that he was accomplice of two other accused, Rafiq and Nasirullah,involved in the triple murder case.

MPA Rana Shamshad was killed along his son Shahbaz Ahmad Khan and friend Shaker Ali, a resident of Sahiwal, in May.

SCHOOL FEE: Parents of the students of a private school in Satellite Town held a demonstration outside the school in protest against increase in fee, demanding action against the administration.

The protesters, including Afzal Butt, Mudasar Qayyum, Iftikhar, Tahir, Safraz Gujjar, Imran Yousef and Maqsood Pasha, said the school had increased fee by Rs300 to Rs500besides charging them paper funds, etc.

They alleged that the school was increasing 20 to 30pc fee every year and the children who could not manage it were sent home.

They appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the increase in fee by private schools.

They rallied on the Sialkot Road, shouting slogans against the school administration.

The school principal said they had to raise the fee due to increase in expenditure of school and salary of teachers.
