ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to appoint MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry the state minster for Capital Administrationand Development Division (CADD), replacing Barrister Usman Ibrahim.
A press statement issued by the Prime Minister`s Office on Friday stated: `The prime minister has decided to appoint Tariq Fazal Chaudhry as state minister for CADD.
The MNA has been involved in CADD`s affairs since parents of private school students started protesting against fee hike some three months ago.
Besides, he also raised salary issue of daily wage employees (teaching and non-teaching) of FDE schools and colleges at CADD meetings.
A source in the division told Dawn that the federal government was not satisfied with the performance of Usman Ibrahim.
`The PM Office was not happy with the performance of CADD, particularly its subordinate departments such as Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA),` the source said, adding that the government under the indirect supervision of Maryam Nawaz, wanted to improve education system in the federal capital.
