Conspiracies being hatched against the Baloch`

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that so-called freedom fight cannot be fought through Skype and by sitting abroad at a distance of 10,000 kilometres and added that elements behind such conspiracies want to keep the people of Balochistan backward.

Addressing a public meeting in Sui area of Dera Bugti on Saturday, Nawab Zehri said that such people were involved in the killing of innocent people through different acts of terrorism.

The chief minister also said that the so-called freedom struggle could not be won by throwing hand grenades on innocent people and by making the Baloch youths fuel and by putting hurdles in the development of the province.

`One can win a war if he has the courage to fight himself in the battlefield and is ready to die for the cause he is struggling for,` the chief minister said.

`One can increase his bank balanceby pushing the Baloch youth in the socalled freedom war in Balochistan, adding that it was against humanity to make the youths fuel of the so-called freedom fight. `The Baloch youths were used by so-called nationalist leaders who are now sitting abroad and they have triggered the fight for their ego, Nawab Zehri said.

The chief minister said that his own Zehri tribe had launched an insurgency in 1958 which continued only for one year and later it ended and the current insurgency would also face a similar fate.

`Pakistan has given us a lot and we should remain loyal to this country, the chief minister said, adding that `now it is our responsibility to give Pakistan something in return`.

Sui Military College Earlier, the chief minister addressed a Parents` Day ceremony at the Sul Military College which was also attended by Commander of SouthernCommand, Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattah, Sui Military College Commandant Brig Khalid Sultan, Inspector General of Balochistan Police Ahsan Mehboob, senior civil and military officials and tribal elders.

The chief minister said that Balochistan would be connected with international routes through the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

`Now, Balochistan is going to emerge as an important region due to CPEC which will open the door of progress and prosperity for our people,` he said.

`The government, the people of Balochistan and our armed forces are now on the same page for progress and prosperity of Balochistan,` he said.

He said that Sui Military College had been imparting top quality education to youths of Balochistan.

`I appreciate the role of Pakistan Army which has been playing an important role for the development of Balochistan,` the chief minister said.
