TCKP organises paragliding event in Nowshera

PESHAWAR: The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) arranged a paragliding activity for youngsters at Misri Banda area of Nowshera district on Sunday.

The TCKP had also organised the event for the young paragliders on last Sunday.

As many as 25 youngsters from all over Pakistan, including two young girls, Aneela Tajik and Momina Anees, participated in the event and performed the skill of flying in the air, according to a press release.

Aneela Tajik said the government should arrange such healthy and entertaining activities to promote adventure tourism. She said participation of girls was a proof of how much such activities were loved by the young women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She said women also wanted to take part in such activities like men to dispel the perception that they were confined to indoor sports activities only.

Momina Said, another participant, also said she enjoyed a lot while flying high in the air. The participants hailing from Punjab also had fun with paragliding, and appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for organising such initiatives.

Manager Properties TCKP Mohammad Usman, who distributed certificates among the participants, said the purpose of holding the event was to promote paragliding as a healthy sports activity in the province.
