Mr. Bhutto`s plans

2016-11-21
DACCA: Mr Z.A. Bhutto, former Foreign Minister, today [Nov 20 J said that he would first sincerely endeavour to implement the principles he stood for in his party, the Pakistan Muslim League.

He was addressing a news conference at a hotel this morning prior to his departure for Lahore after a week-long visit to Dacca.

He said, in case of failure, he would have to choose between the two alternatives either to join any other political party or form a new one of his own as the circumstances warranted.

The former Foreign Minister pointed out that he was still a Muslim Leaguer and added there was always scope for a forward bloc within a party. He remarked that one should not necessarily hold similar views with others in one political party.

Mr. Bhutto said President of the Pakistan Muslim League had a manifesto which provided for the establishment of a welfare state based on Islamic ideology. One might have differences of opinion regarding the way leading to the attainment of this objective but all would cherish the fulfilment of this objective, he said.

Replying to a question, the former Foreign Minister categorically refuted the rumours that he planned to join the National Awami Party (NAP). Speculation might have gained ground as the NAP had some facsimile with him in some points of his foreign policy, he added.
