AS a child, one would read about someone finding Alladin`s Lamp, and thus have one or more wish(es) granted. What would I wish for now, if only three of my prayers could be granted? I would desire the following: First, `Peace on Earth` (end of all warfare; terrorism whether of state or non-state actors; freedom and grant of human rights for all).

Second, Pakistan`s security (from foreign and local enemies), and third, competent, honestandgood governance here,ascould be expected from Mr. Jinnah (leading to peace, prosperity, freedom from corruption, rule of law, etc.).

All these objectives, especially the first one, seem difficult to achieve, but if enough foll(s here and overseas roll up their sleeves and get to work on them, we wouldn`t need an Alladin`s Lamp to realise these. Some foreign friends may ask why didn`t I seek security or good governance for the whole world. I would very much like that to happen, but realism made me focus on what seems more doable first.
