`Broken` backbone strikes again

2016-11-21
EVERY other day we hear the same old litany that the `armed forces and government together have broken the backbone of terrorists and destroyed their network.` However, within just a few days, the `brolcen` backbone strikes again and more precious lives are lost.

This time terrorists attacked a shrine and to date more than 62 citizens lost their lives.

My heart bleeds and prayers are with the victims` families. Sadly, this is not the first time a shrine has been attacked in our homeland.

After a number of military operations, combing operations, paramilitary forces deployment for more than decade, the end results are still the same. Terrorists with so-called broken backbone are continuously attacking but not a single authority has taken responsibility for the failure in safeguarding the lives of citizens which is their prime responsibility.

On the other hand the leaders of banned groups meet the interior minister and there after hold a general workers` gathering in the capital and chant hateful slogans.

Would the minister explain why he met the leaders of banned groups, and why have the law enforcement authorities failed to safeguard the lives and property of citizens? I strongly condemn the Shah Noorani carnage and all other excesses committed against any community. I uge the authorities to stop these hateful attacks.
