KOHAT: Four terrorists were killed during exchange of firing with police in the mountainous Nasratkhel area on Hangu Road, while their one accomplice was arrested alive on Thursday, police said.

A statement issued by the DPO office said that they had received information from intelligence agencies that terrorists wanted in murder, kidnapping, extortion and drug smuggling cases were hiding in Nasratkhel mountains.

It said that DIG, Kohat region, Mohammad ljaz Khan and DPO Wahid Mehmood reached the scene and supervised the operation themselves. It said that the terrorists opened indiscriminate firing at the police party after seeing it which was retaliated.

As a result, Vaqar carrying head money by the KP police for five years and Fazal Mehmood hiding since 2013 were killed. The other two identified as Farman and Ahmed were killed while showing resistance during arrest.

Their accomplice Sajid was held along with five Kalashnikovs, one MP5, two pistols and hundreds of cartridges left behind by them.
