LAHORE: The Punjab government has transferred and posted four senior police officers, including three district police officers (DPOs).

Among them the transfer of two DPOs, including Rana Ayaz Saleem and Zahid Nawaz, within a month of their postings shocked many in the department.

Ayaz Saleem was posted as Attock DPO while Zahid Nawaz as Rahim Yar Khan DPO almost a month back.

The inspector general of Punjab Police transferred on Thursday Ayaz Saleem and posted him as DPONankana Sahib while Zahid Nawaz was transferred and posted as Attock DPO.

The transfer and postings of these senior police ofhcers in a very short period during which an officials could not understand even the nature of work, raised question on the `strategy` of the transfer postings.

Of the two other senior policeofficers,AIGTraining Central Police Office Zeshan Asghar has been transferred and posted as Rahim Yar Khan DPO.

Nankana Sahib DPO Shahzada Sultan has been posted as AIG Training Central Police Office.
